Strange times

My latest social network fixation is: Facebook. I fall in the “coveted” category of people whom advertisers think will be suckers for their adverts & willing to click on them. Well, I haven’t clicked on a single Facebook ad since I have been a member. However, due to their layout, I will say I have been tricked quite a few times into clicking on an ad because it was scarily disguised. I’m getting wiser and I’m waiting for the firefox plugin that will blot out those horrible applications that serve no purpose whatsoever. Thanksgiving will soon be upon us and I’m happy that I will have options about what to do.

M’s been doing quite a bit of studying because he has an exam today. I am seriously proud of him for taking the initiative and taking (nay, dragging) the proverbial bull by the horns. On the apartment hunting front, it may seem that P has caught some wind of our intentions. This may have happened when I was browsing through the Athens phone book and accidentally left the page I was looking at open (“Apartments”). Well, another of M’ friends (LLM a.k.a. Loose Lips McCracken) claimed to be apartment-hunting and added fuel to the “fire” by asking P if he had a damn opening. Talk about tryna pull the rug from under us!! 🙂 That’s just me making a mountain out of a molehill. I’m sure P knows that it’s more than time to move on for M & I. I’m also sure he will find another renter when we leave. The thing, however, is the way he expresses himself sometimes and part of me takes it as a challenge to show him that we are more than capable of standing tall now that we have another person’s income. Granted, this moving situation was precipitated by the high summer cooling bills we received. Now, I’m even more worried because of some issues we have with coming to a consensus over the heating. I’m glad to write that M feels comfortable with the thermostat at 68F. P concurs. I agree too and will toss in another angle: when P isn’t there, the thermostat will go to 60F. I say, everyone should purchase a teeny tiny heating element and save money.

I’m at work and I’m pretty much done for the day save a few things that need to be done right at the day’s end. It’s an interesting schedule that I don’t mind. The atmosphere is gradually becoming more conducive for the better parts of me to rear up. My transformation experiment worked so I was really relieved that it wasn’t a jinx or anything. Well, I’ve gotta run. Ciao.
