Listless at home

Nothing much to report regarding big fish #1. They said a week and it’s yet to be a week. M volunteered to deliver the customary letter of thanks following the interview today. So hopefully, that’ll keep my memory fresh in their minds so that they’ll rule in the affirmative. I’ve got a feeling that things will work out, just like water carves out its path on hard, stony ground. That was actually a line I botched from Memoirs of a Geisha. 
I’d like to be like water. In other news, I think the month of May seems to be popular for weddings. M & I got married in May; my sis got married in May. And now I just found out that a former roommate of mine got hitched in May too! As they say, super kawai! The baby watch is still on for Mrs. W. She’s so ready. I’m tickled and can’t wait to meet the little guy. I know they’ll be great parents and they’ve got a cadre of people who will go to bat for them.
In other news, I’ve been bad. I don’t know how to break the ice after so long and now I wonder if I’m completely loathed. I doubt it, but I should simply pick up the phone and call. And accept any recriminations, but at least make the first step towards redeeming myself. It’ll be nice to rekindle things and I truly miss them. I will make a move this week and that’s a promise to myself.
