Whoopee!!!

In less than a week, we will be moving to our new apartment. I’m sure you’re tired of hearing me talk about our new place ad nauseam. Anyway, I had a fabulous pre-birthday!! I had to work on my birthday so we knew it had to be the day before. And the gods didn’t disappoint us by giving us a gorgeous sunny day! M gifted me a pair of neat sneakers, a cap and a form-fitting shirt. Then, we went to a park and hung out. I look some awesome pictures of the park and us which will be going up on my gallery soon. *crossing fingers* M’s in charge of organizing the moving supplies, getting power turned on and generally being the He-man. I’m going to stay out of his way and keep myself busy at work. He’s got a couple of things going on and I am so hopeful for him. This year’s been very interesting thus far. On the savings front, it’s been little trickles. I can’t count how many times I’ve pondered taking a hammer to our little piggy bank, but I promised myself that we will fill it up before taking any monies out. With just quarters, it holds up to $500. Now, we’ve been slipping bills ($20s, $10s, $5s, $1s) as well as dimes in there so I’m pretty sure that we’re up to at least $200 there. That’s very reassuring and also considering the fact that I’ve been socking away some in my ING Direct account. It’s safe to say that we’re starting to make a little (very little) bit of headway on our emergency fund. Well, I’ve gotta run. Thanks y’all for the b-day love!!
