I just got my timetable for the week and I’m swamped, but it feels good to be busy weirdly enough. I haven’t been cooking more frequently, but when I do cook, M loves it. lol. Last 2 saturdays, I tried my hand and some pinto bean chili (no meat). It was very spicy i.e. I drowned it in pepper, but I am seriously addicted to pepper. This past Saturday, I made some chili again. It doesn’t taste like Wendy’s chili which still baffles me, but I guess the addition of meat is the difference. Next time, I might toss in some bacon or “fat back” to cook with the beans. We’ll see how that goes. In the meantime, I’m going to scour my book of vegetarian recipes to see what I can come up with. Cooking is weirdly therapeutic. Two of the roommates loved the chili so it’s safe to say that my chili was a resounding success. Here’s to my next unknown cooking experiment.
I think I can, I think I can.
